Contact angle measuring unit for characterization of hidrophobicity of film surfaces are used in controlling cleaning processes.

The unit consists of a white LED illuminator, a sample stage and a telescope to magnify the picture of the sample. Contact angles can be measured by manually adjusting a crosshair in the telescope to the liquid sample and reading the angles on the large protractor scale.
Both the sample holder and the telescope can be adjusted manually.
